Hi! I got a 23tb Rs AWD in December. They sent the steering wheel heater but not the rear park assist yet. How does it work when they get it? I called GM but they don't know. Thanks!

the rear park assist i believe is a chip that helps to detect objects when u reverse. It will beep to alert u. Hope this helps!

they'll definitely send you a notice when it's ready. regarding how it works, you'll get better info from your dealer. i'm pretty sure it's as @appletea2 described.

i think that's around the time chevy had problmes with chip shortage or something like that and some owners didn't get everything they wanted. i think there is an option for retrofitting but check the price it could costy you a lot. if that doesn't work an aftermarket system is always an option and there are good ones that are decently affordable

The rear park assist might be added via a software update or a dealer retrofit. try calling again and ask if they have a schedule for installing it

Plus one on this. But then again you can always try a software update. If you're not confident doing anything on your own just let the dealer deal with it.

the rear park assist system uses sensors to detect objects behind the car. when it's installed, you can turn it on using a button on the dashboard or through a screen display, then you'll get alerts when it detects obstacles
