Trailblazer lane assist seems faulty

I drove my daughter's 2021 trailblazer LT and felt like it's lane assist is a bit faulty or odd, everytime her lane assist is on the steering wheel suddenly becomes yanky. It is far from my Equinox's lane assist system, mine feels smooth as butter. What is bothering me is that I am certain the the lane assist system is the issue since when I turn it off the yanking episodes go away. By the way, if anyone is wondering, the yanking of the steering wheel when the lane assist is on is at any speed, I only go at 50mph maximum and was only driving for about 5 minutes since I'm old. Ha ha. Anyway, I hope to get meaningful responses here though any would be much appreciated.

Yeah, the 2021 Trailblazer's lane assist system has been known to feel more aggressive compared to other GM models. Actually, GM tweaked their steering calibration around that time, partly due to stricter lane-keeping standards. What you're describing sounds like the system's torque sensor might be overcompensating, especially if it's happening at low speeds too.
One thing to check is the front camera module near the windshield. If it's slightly misaligned (even by a few millimeters), it can mess with the steering corrections. GM's lane assist relies heavily on that camera for road markings, and if it's dirty or off-center, it'll cause that "yanking" feeling. Might be worth recalibrating it. Some dealers can do it fast, but there's also a manual recalibration method in the owner's manual if you wanna try that first.
