Question about the steering

My traiblazer is my first experience with all these modern systems that everyone call life saving and excellent, but I seem to be having a problem with mine. The car's steering has been twitchy with the lane assist on, but not without it. Is this a common thing with these models or mine is going haywire? I don't have a problem driving with that thing off, so this is more like a question if it's a common problem.

Yeah that's pretty common with the newer Trailblazers. Actually, GM's lane keep assist has had issues like this dating back to when they first rolled it out around 2016. The system sometimes overcompensates if the sensors aren't reading the road markings right. Dirty cameras, bad calibration, or even worn-out tires can throw it off. Some people say recalibrating the system at the dealer helps, but others just leave it off because it gets annoying. Try cleaning the front camera first , you'd be surprised how often that's the fix.

as good as these systems are theyre not perfect and conditions with poor markings could be a problem. with that aside i think you might wanna check with dealer about this especially if you have a newer model. sure they may have been problematic in 2016 but its been a decade even gm isn't that bad ad patching things up

lane assist on a lot of newer cars can feel twitchy, especially on narrower roads or if the lines aren't super clear. you're not alone, my cousin has had similar issues. If it's really bad, you might want to check if there's a software update for it or adjust the sensitivity in the settings, in the meanwhile i'll reach out to my cousin find out what how she went about it, I hope i don't forget

well I just feel It's the system trying to "help" but ends up feeling weird and fret not, you're not the only one, it's kind of common on some newer models but If it drives fine with it off, you're probably good

Totes common. But doesn't this only happen on narrow lanes or, say,. a rainy day?NIdk if it's relevant but that's that.
