Power steering warning

Got a service power steering warning on my 2021 Trailblazer RS about a week ago, it came on during a routine drive, it popped up and it has stuck around ever since, I went ahead and did the usual checks but the battery was good, terminals , and the fuses related to the EPS system all look intact, I even unplugged the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes to try and reset the system, but the message came right back after a few minutes of driving, the fact that there's no mechanical feel of a problem is almost more frustrating, like waiting for the other shoe to drop or something
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who can help in this scenario

Your Trailblazer might just be being a little overdramatic, throwing up a warning while everything still feels fine, it is most likely an EPS module or torque sensor issue

It's likely not a simple power or fuse issue since the usual checks didn't clear the message.. I'd suspect it's more of a sensor or control module problem. The power steering system is entirely electronic in that car, so a faulty sensor reading could be triggering the warning without an actual loss of assist. I suggest you take it to a dealership or an independent mechanic with the proper diagnostic tools. Since there's a warning light, there will almost certainly be a code stored so they can help you identify the exact cause.
