I'm quite annoyed that this happened to my car. Mine is a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, and I have received an error message like "Engine Power Reduced." The dealer said the whole turbo must be replaced before 60 thousand miles.
I noticed that this is a really common issue, because they're backordering these turbos in all over the country since there are tons of bad reviews about this.

Got the same issue when I was about to turn left, and I got hit. Got an extended warranty at that time, so I had fewer problem.

from what i know, there's a software update that can fix this before u resort to changing anything. check it with ur dealer when u can

Isn't it still under coverage? But if the costs get a little too much, then you can actually fight for a goodwill coverage because it's a common issue as you said. Just make sure you document everything from the top! I think NHTSA can do something about it.

Sounds like it's not an isolated issue. if your dealer advised you to replace it, have you tried getting this checked by another mechanic? if so, what did they say?

idk, I like to get a second opinion from another dealer if I'm not sure about something related to my car. or maybe if you have a reliable mechanic in your shop, you should consult them
