Went to remote start my car this morning and nothing happened, the lights didn't come on to my surprise, it was just radio silence, the fob still lock and unlocks the doors fine, so I don't think the battery in the fob is completely dead buh I tried it a few times from different distances buh had no luck. So I decided to start it manually and there didnt seem to be an issue, so the car's battery is fine I guess but now what could be the problem, could I have to repair the fob or is there another diagnosis I'm not seeing here

Seems like an issue specific to the remote start function itself.. Sometimes the remote start system can get a bit confused or need a reset. Have you tried checking your owner's manual for any specific remote start troubleshooting steps or fuse locations related to that system? You can also try disconnecting the car's battery for a few minutes, but just the negative terminal for safety.. and then reconnecting it. That often resets various electronic modules. Let me know if that works!

Have you checked if any aftermarket alarms or settings might be interfering before jumping to fob repair?

Okay, let's start with the simples explanation. If the fob battery is low, some features won't work, like remote start, but it will continue to lock and unlock the car. Also, I think that if it's low on fuel the remote start won't work as well. Just to clarify, it worked before, right?
