Easy DIY fix for GM "Shift to Park" error

Many GM vehicles since 2016 have a "shift to park" error caused by a bad switch inside the shifter and dealers charge $500–$800 to replace the entire shifter, which is often backordered but you can fix it yourself by replacing just the switch for about $3.80 using basic tools and a soldering gun.
