Anyone else getting random "Replace Engine Air Filter Soon" message

Curious if anyone else has seen this pop up. I've got a 2021 Trailblazer RS AWD with about 19,500 miles. My air filter was changed roughly 1,500 miles ago, and I don't drive in dusty or harsh conditions. Live in a fairly mild area, though it's been colder than usual lately.

A few days back, my DIC flashed a "Replace Engine Air Cleaner Soon" message out of nowhere. No odd noises, no drop in performance, and my maintenance is always on schedule. I haven't pulled the filter yet because of the weather, but it seems too soon for it to be clogged.

Could cold temps or humidity be messing with the sensor or airflow readings? Anyone else had this happen even with a relatively new filter? Would love to hear if it's a glitch or if I should actually pop the box open soon.

That's strange, especially with your recent filter change and low mileage.. but colder temps and increased humidity could cause some condensation on the filter which might trigger that warning. I suggest you make a visual inspection of your airbox when the weather gets better. If it looks clean, then it might also just be a sensor glitch.. You can try to quickly disconnect and reconnect your battery to clear a temporary sensor error.

What kind of air filter are you using? Some aftermarket filters can trigger early warnings, especially if the sensor is sensitive to airflow changes or moisture in colder weather
