A pastor friend of mine has a trailblazer, i think it is a 2012 with a 5.3-liter. He shaved the heads, new rad, new water pump, three different thermostates, new electric fan, new ecm moved the thermo switch to the upper rad hose( red flag), itr starts and idles great until you put it in gear and drive around the block, then it pegs the temp gauge and over heats. He is getting tired of it and wants to give it to me. It looks good and sounds good, but it overheats just going around the block. The adapter he used in the upper hose is metric, and the sensor is standard, so they don't quite fit. And the upper hose temp varies by the thermostat. i wrote out a bunch of info on the car and gave it to him, but he just put it in the front seat and ignored it. i not holding my breath to get the car . i have been burned before.
